Appointed by the presiding Judge, the Bailiff performs services similar to those performed by the Sheriff for the Court of Common Pleas or any other duties requested by the Court. The Bailiff has contact with the general public and is responsible for the management and general order of the Court. Other duties include serving subpoenas, Civil documents, and physical evictions ordered by the Court. Bailiffs are charged with maintaining peace and order at eviction sites; seizure of property ordered by Writ of Execution, and can conduct auctions as necessary for the Clerk’s office.
